VACUUM SEALERS REVIEW

Hello again Friends and Followers,

Today we are going to talk about vacuum sealers but before we start, let me bring you up to date. Our first 5 pages on our website named Kitchen tips by Patty & Doug,  KitchenTipsbypk.com , are stationary and will remain that way except for periodic updates. Page 6, “Tools of the Trade”, will grow exponentially with the addition of reviews called “Posts” or “Blogs”. The last 15 posted blogs or posts will also show up under “Recent Posts.”

One of the most used small appliances in our kitchen, besides the coffee pot, is our vacuum sealer. We bought our first vacuum sealer approximately 25 years ago If memory serves me, it was on sale at a Walmart store for about $50.00. We used it and wore it out quite quickly. We got serious about sealers, did some research, and bought a better sealer that we literally wore out after about 15 years of hard use. By then we were sold on vacuum sealers and bought our current high-end sealer with a marinating container. We like to marinate our steaks for several hours if not overnight in it. Works great!

We viewed about half a dozen websites featuring vacuum sealers and agreed the FoodSaver brand was our choice. The model we have and are pleased with is the FoodSaver V4400 2-in1 vacuum sealer machine. Pictured below right is the model we have and you can see the attachment used on the marinating container as well as zip-top bags with a vacuum valve. Most brands of sealers can be found on the Amazon.com website. Should you be inclined to buy a sealer know that the sealer bags play a big part. There are all types and sizes of bags. After many years of sealing, we buy 8” and/or 11” vacuum sealer rolls and size them according to what we are sealing. There are also vacuum storage containers available for some models of sealers.

FoodSaver has a Fresh Bucks program that lets you earn discount points towards purchases. Be aware these bucks expire yearly. If you have any questions and/or comments, please feel free to leave them below or email us at the link below.
