Can you believe we made it through the first half of the year? Now we move into BBQ season, living with (or trying to curtail) inflation.
Our KITCHEN TIPS has fit into the last 12 months through Covid and now inflation. We try to provide an abundance of tips and guides on where & how to buy, how to store and how to get the most of the products you do buy.
Last night Patty & I talked about meals for the next 6 days including the 4th of July. Through our use of Kitchen Tips, we were able to plan or rough out our main meals without any trips to the store.
The 4th of July holiday brings out many, many sales and offers. So rather than trying to highlight a few and maybe missing one I’ve created a shortcut to our vendors page where you can look at the vendors and open each vendor with 1 keystroke and see what each has to offer. KITCHEN TIPS, VENDORS and ADVERTISERS
After the 4th of July fresh sweet corn should be coming in and yes, Green Chilies should be coming into your markets as well. First take a look at last year’s 3 blogs about green chilies at KITCHEN TIPS BLOGS. Read through the 3 blogs and see what is best for you. Those of you in the Southwest are familiar with this fantastic season. Those of you out of the area should go to your produce manager and have him order green chilies. We have been trying hard to find a vendor that will ship nationwide without much success but we’ll keep trying.
With gas & diesel prices adding to inflation, folks just don’t know what the future will bring. As prices continue to rise at the grocery store, if you have the space and resources, now would be the time to stock up. We certainly have.
We wish everyone a very Happy 4th of July!
Try to stay safe,
Patty & Doug
